The 2nd chakra or sacral chakra, located 1″ to 2″ below the navel, is the chakra of emotions, creativity, and sexuality, and resonates with the colour orange. Carnelian brings a sense of the constant presence of the sun into one's life with the knowledge that there is nothing to give except love. It helps repair DNA. Carnelian increases physical energy, personal power, creativity and compassion. It can be used to dispel apathy, passivity, and indolence. Carnelian has been used to treat gall and kidney stones, pollen allergies and colds, disorders of the spine, spleen and pancreas and taken as an elixir, cuts and abrasions; it is especially useful in balancing and healing problems of the ovaries and the testes.

Yellow citrine, a prosperity stone, balances yin and yang; it aids in concentration, mental awareness and endurance, and offers comfort and optimism. It can help one dispense with the fundamental level of fear and promotes a radiance from within.
