Iceland is a wondrous place where the folklore is woven into the landscape as well as into the daily lives of its people. Doing a ski expedition during the darkest time of the year is not everyone’s idea of fun but I loved it. The ever changing weather, the volcanic landscapes, the glaciers and the ancient Norse culture spoke to my very nature, resulting in these new paintings in which I have incorporated aluminium foil for the first time.
